yeah, mainly cause the USB ports that are direct to M/B get a higher voltage then the extra’s, most commonly noticed when using the 2.5 external HD’s that require your pc to power the device itself. its a pain.

yeah good rule is never goto a new os for at LEAST 5-6 months, let them work all the bugs out first, then you have a good chance of not running into problems

ITunes is notoriously picky about USB. So much so that if I have a hub plugged into my motherboard my IPhone won’t update. Never mind the fact that I am not using the hub. ITunes just hates it that bad.
